I have a single-fisted backhand. And I love it. X-D

People tend to go o.O when they hear that I do have a workable single-handed backhand. I never learned how to do it with two hands. NEVER. But I like it. The ball flies flat and low over the net, there's pace and power. And it ain't a slice anymore! Yay me!!!

At training this afternoon, everything (but the court surface -- it was cracked) worked in my favor. Yes, even the serve. For some reason, I had good tosses in there along with good first serves (albeit slow and/or sliced). I've got no complaints. Forehand/Backhand was flat, spun when it had to. Power/pace will come later. I was one of four (or five) left-handers and one of TWO (thank you, Tristan!!!) with a single-handed backhand. ^_^

So yeah. It was a good afternoon for tennis.

My QAF DVDs finally got here! I've been re-watching some episodes, and that's probably what I'm going to be doing for a while. :P

My mom was like, 'So, what made you want to watch the show?' I guess she's still scared I'm a lezbean. *rolls eyes*

I'm in it for the boys. ^_~

(I also got my book, "Other Men's Sons", of course - I'm going to take it on the plane to read on the way to LA.)

Just a heads up, everyone: The networks are having a press tour and CBS's turn will be tomorrow!

So, there's a chance we'll be getting some juicy news about CSI:NY then. :D My money is on them either keeping hushhush like Carmine did in his Rome interview about the new season or they're gonna throw in hints about Rikki's return. That's the big thing right now for the show anyway.

Oh yeah. We'll probably get new wank within the next 48 hours. *lol*

OMG, I used the word 'ficcies', I feel so ashamed.

I've laughed, I've cried, I've gotten extremely carried away with tags - it's hard to believe I've been on LJ since October of 2006. My interests have shifted since then, I've made a ton of friends (and lost touch with a few), and it might sound corny, but I do feel like you can tell I've grown up a lot in the past few years.

1. What happens to Jamie the whole time the five of them are "volted in"? She's located at the right foot. Poor girl.

2. What happens to Bert if Voltes V uses the Electromagnetic Top? The chest area opens up, right, and the tops fly out. Where is he?

3. For Mark, he's the one behind the V of the Laser Sword, right? Wala lang.

4. Kailangan bang sabay yung pag-press nila ng "volt in" button? (Question courtesy of "a friend" haha... toink!)

5. Kapag nabubutas si Voltes V (like in the episode I watched is morning on the bus to school), bakit parang hindi siya tuluyang nasisira? As in, nakasaksak na yung kalaban sa gilid ng headrest ni Steve pero go pa rin pagkahugot. X-D (Anuvah, "friend"... mga tanong na ganyan!)

Ж-Men...but not the ones you might expect!
This week LJ Russia launched Ж-Men, a new comedy series about superheroes, inspired by the LJ communities dedicated to superheros, comics and cartoons. The title's "Ж" comes from ЖЖ, the nickname for LiveJournal in Russia.

Ж-Men's script is written by a group of LJ enthusiasts who also happen to be television professionals. Who knew? Following the premiere, five more episodes will be broadcast over the next two weeks. We hope you find the series fresh and enjoyable.

This is, of course, an experiment for LiveJournal. As always, we'd love to hear what you think!

I watched the first two episodes of "Vanished" last night - purely because Gale Harold is in it, of course. The boy can act, you gotta give him that.

But I want to feed him a sammich - he's too damn skinny!

Anyway, I knew he wasn't in the entire series, so I got curious and read the description for an episode after he leaves - that's just fucking wrong. *glare* He's the main fucking character!

Morons. No wonder the show was canceled.

In more lulz-tastic news, I was talking to my mom about "Vanished" this morning and she asked who played the main character, and I told her I'd only ever seen Gale on QAF, so she probably wouldn't recognize him - then she tells me that she saw part of an episode of QAF back when we had Showtime (we haven't had those channels in ages). I was like O_O - then she said something about how two guys were getting ready to have sex, and I was like 'LOL, it was probably Brian and Justin.'

My poor mother, traumatized by the nekkid man-ass followed by the nekkidy mansex. Lulz.

It's was raining HARD. Flooding at Philcoa.

This was on the news here tonight, and I Googled for an article about it.

I had a really weird dream last night that involved a fight-to-the-death competition, Hal Sparks, a squirrel bag (literally made from a squirrel) and a disposable razor - but perhaps fortunately, I don't remember all of the details.

I'm not sure if it was part of the same dream or a different one, but I also remember that Justin and Daphne from QAF were traveling with the Doctor - and I was jealous. *scratches head* No, I really have no idea where that came from or why I was jealous. Maybe in the dream I was Rose and realized he'd found another cute, blond companion. *lol*

Now, though, looking at this picture, I'm imagining that as Justin in period costume when he and the Doctor go to meet some famous artist, and Justin fangirls whoever it is.

Where does my brain come up with this stuff?
